A little bit about me.

Hello! My name is Jan Ruvido Stebbins, an artist /illustrator working in Washtenaw County, Michigan, USA. My art background includes a MFA from the University of Michigan in Medical & Biological Illustration, and have created many hand-drawn and Adobe Illustrator artworks for medical journals and books over the years. 

Currently, I am creating surface pattern collections that revolve around the natural world and all of the amazing creatures within. The mediums most used are printmaking, watercolor, pen & ink, and oil painting. I also enjoy experimenting with non-traditional art techniques & materials.

Living in a forested wetlands area with my family of fine humans, dogs & cats, I am inspired to create my work by simply taking a walk in the woods, observing nature, sketchbook in hand.
